Monument on the place where Idvor was founded in 1690.
At Pupins present, Idvor was only a village on the border whose citizens defended the impery from Turks. Founded in Banat, inhabitted by Serbian runaways who came here leaded by Carnojevic in XVII century running from the Turks across the Danube,
Idvor was now between two countries, two cultures, religions ans life styles. This village was founded in 1690. on a small hill north from where today's village stands. This position was chosen because of the strategical reasons, so that they could defend themselves from Turks.
